During our travels by Snowmobile we have found many interesting sites.
Like the picture above. It is a Heronry, found near Coldwater.

Ontario boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery.
This trail overlooks a huge canyon with a stream winding it's way through it.

These marks were made from Moose scraping
their teeth up and down. They eat the bark from these
trees in the winter.

Stacked log building

This is a building we found in the bush, long ago abandoned.
It was made by stacking logs and putting a cement like material in between
each log. Hence the name. Stacked Log Building.

Ice sulpture

This was quite an unusual picture. The ice started  to form around
this stick, building and building, until it sculptured itself into a cocoon
that was almost transparent.

Here is another picture of the Heronry
that we found. These large birds have since abandoned their summer
home and flew to a warmer climate for the winter. Next summer they
will return to once again rear a new family of  Blue Herons.
