Port Loring
Come ride Port Loring with Ontario Snowmobile Adventures
Sleds on trail in Port Loring

Lots of snow, staked lake trails and beautiful country.

From Port Loring the trails go in all directions.
Mom snowmobile
North East to North Bay
South to Mckellar
North West to Sudbury
West to Brit
I have no doubt you could
"Park and Ride" out of Loring for days and never run the same trails.
If you like to lake run this is the area for you. Spend one day touring the deer yards where over 10,000 deer spend the winter months.

Tons of snow

No shortage of the white gold we all pray for, to sled !

They say that if you do something long enough, you are bound
to get it wrong once in a while.

Guys in hot tub Sag-a-me-sing Lodge
CAMP SAG-A-ME-SING
There is no such thing as a bad trip, just some better than others. The company was great, there was a ton of snow, the trails where Smok'en and I think it was warmer outside, than in, even though the temperature had plunged to 35 below that weekend !
Trust me the duck fit right in! The boys braved the temperatures to get warmed up in the hot tub. Being older and wiser  I assured the gang
that when it was all over, they would remember this weekend for a long, long time. It was true, we still laugh a lot over our weekend at Port Lorings Camp Sag-a-me-sing !

Nice decor !
Why is that blanket
hanging on the wall
behind you !

Let's play a little game
You fill in the blanks.

Wood stoves but no...
Running water if not...
Electric range that caught on..
Beds that where.... years old.
Lights that only worked if you...
*** You Win ! ***
Your Prize, One night at Cabin #1
Dress Warmly !

"OH BOY"

Is she praying or crying?
My guess is both !

The end of our weekend just didn't get any better.
We are a law abiding family and respect the need for strict law enforcement on our trails, but due to unavoidable circumstances we had found ourselves in an unfortunate position.

Now that is just a lot of
double talk for actually getting
caught with your pants down.

Okay ! Let Mom do
all the talking

Steve
"where do you think your going" ?
Does this guy look familiar Jeff ?

____________

We have had some great trips in this area.

We try to arrange a trip to Loring every year and usually take one day to just sled around the deer yards in Loring. No one, would ever say that a breakdown on the trail in the middle of no where was fortunate but for us that day it was !
Everything was quiet as the guys where fixing the sled. All of a sudden the wolves struck up their ritual howling and they where setting in motion their plan for dinner. We must have seen 30 deer sneaking up out of the gut that led away from the small lake below. Their howls would make the hair stand up on your neck and send shivers down your spine. The wolves where victorious in the end, and so goes the food chain, and the harsh reality that Mother Nature is not always forgiving and humane. Later back at the resort they showed us on their wall map where we where at the time. Ironically it was Wolf Lake !
